1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, submitting a lead form, or purchasing a package from Life Story Lane, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Life Story Lane provides custom ghostwriting, interviewing, editing, and book publishing services for personal memoirs, company histories, and pet life stories. The specific deliverables - including page count, number of interview sessions, and number of physical copies - are defined by the package selected at the time of purchase.

3. Payment Terms

  • Deposits: A non-refundable deposit is required to commence the interview and writing process.
  • Payment Plans: Remaining balances are due according to the agreed-upon payment schedule, typically tied to project milestones such as completion of interviews and final manuscript approval.
  • Final Delivery: Physical books will not be sent to print until the final balance has been paid in full.

4. Client Responsibilities

To ensure the timely completion of your project, you - or the interview subject - agree to:

  • Attend all scheduled interview sessions.
  • Provide necessary photographs, documents, or factual corrections in a timely manner.
  • Review manuscript drafts and provide feedback within the agreed-upon revision windows.

Delays in client feedback may result in corresponding delays to the final delivery date, for which Life Story Lane will not be held responsible.

5. Copyright and Ownership

Upon final payment and delivery of the completed book, the client retains full copyright and ownership of the written text and all photographs provided. Life Story Lane retains the rights to the specific layout, design files, and formatting templates used to produce the book.

6. Revisions and Edits

Each package includes a specified number of revision rounds, typically two. Significant structural changes or requests for additional writing that fall outside the scope of the original package may incur additional fees, which will be quoted and approved in writing prior to execution.

7. Limitation of Liability

Life Story Lane acts as a ghostwriter and compiler of the stories provided by the client. We are not liable for factual inaccuracies, omissions, or disputes arising from the content provided by the interview subject. The client assumes full responsibility for the accuracy and legality of all stories and information shared during the process.
